Admission Fees
Choose either the Permanent Exhibitions Ticket (Adults 630yen,18 and under 210yen) or the [Combo Ticket] Permanent Exhibitions + Dome Theater (Adults 940yen,18 and under 310yen) .

- Admission is free for holders of a disability certificate, and for their companion (one per certificate holder). Please check our accessibility information.
- Visitor parties of more than 8 people can get discounts for their admission fees. Please check our Group Visits.
- If you have tickets for the special exhibitions, you do not need to purchase a permanent exhibition ticket. Tickets for the special exhibitions also include admission to the permanent exhibitions.
- All seats are reserved at the Dome Theater. Please make a reservation in advance.Please note that you can enter the Dome Theater from 10 minutes before the screening starts. You will not be able to enter after the screening start time, so please arrive at the Dome Theater entrance on the 6th floor with plenty of time to spare.
- If you have purchased a admission ticket and would like to see the Dome Theater in addition, please reserve and purchase the [Add on] Dome Theater (Adults 310yen,18 and under 100yen).
- Numbered tickets may be required for exhibits with a limited number of visitors.
How to purchase tickets
Visitors may purchase tickets online in advance or purchase tickets at the outside ticket booth on the day of visit. As the outside ticket booth can get crowded, we recommend purchasing tickets online.

Tickets can be purchased one week before your visit day.
* Tickets are non-refundable. Please check the date and time of your visit carefully before purchasing tickets.
* Payments can only be made using credit cards (VISA/Mastercard/JCB/AMEX/Diners).
* You can choose seats in the Dometheater when you purchase the tickets online.

(Tickets for special exhibitions are available on a different website, and not available on the site for the permanent exhibitions or the Dome Theater. Please visit the specially prepared website for tickets to the special exhibition. Tickets for the special exhibitions also include admission to the permanent exhibition.)
On-Site Ticket Sales
Please purchase tickets at the outside ticket booth on the day of your visit. The following payment methods are available.

- Electronic Money (Suica, Suica-compatible transit cards, Rakuten Edy, iD, QUICPay+)
(Ticket Booth is different for Special Exhibitions. Please purchase tickets for special exhibitions at the inside special exhibition ticket booth (across from the museum shop on the 1st floor). Payment services may differ from those in the permanent exhibition. Tickets for the special exhibitions also include admission to the permanent exhibition.)
Group Visits
At Miraikan, visitor parties of more than 8 people can get discounts for their admission fees regardless of whether it is a school organization or a general group. In case of visiting in groups, please make reservations in advance.

On Saturdays, Sundays, holidays and crowded days, numbered tickets are required for each admission time. - Dome Theater
All seats are reserved. Please make reservations and purchases online in advance. (*Tickets can also be purchased at the ticket booth on the day of the event, but they may be sold out. You will not be able to choose your seat when purchasing on the day of the event.)
Free admission days
Only the permanent exhibition will be free on the following days.(Separate admission fees are required for the Dome Theater and the Special Exhibition.)
- Friday and Saturday during "Science and Technology Week" (April 17 and April 18, 2026)
- The anniversary of the museum's opening (July 9, 2026)
- In addition to the above, admission to the permanent exhibition is free for those 18 years old or younger on Children's Day (May 5, 2026) and for those 65 years old or older on Respect-for-the-Aged Day(September 21, 2026).
Visitor Guidelines
To ensure all visitors can enjoy their experience at Miraikan, we may refuse entry, ask visitors to stop viewing exhibitions, or request they leave the museum in the following cases:
- Children under 6 years old not accompanied by an appropriate guardian or supervisor
- Intoxicated individuals
- Individuals with a fever, cough, or other symptoms, or those feeling unwell
- Individuals exhibiting behavior that is disruptive or potentially disruptive to museum operations
- Unreasonable, excessive, or inappropriate demands or behavior toward staff
- Bringing dangerous items or flammable materials into the museum
- Disruptive behavior such as running in exhibition areas or corridors, or entering restricted areas
- Eating, drinking, or smoking outside designated areas
- Photography of exhibits or video content where photography is prohibited
