Miraikan focus not only on exhibitions and events but also on activities as a "Future Lab" where the public can participate in cutting-edge research and development, and field trials conducted at Miraikan. We advance future-oriented initiatives in collaboration with diverse stakeholders, including researchers, companies, artists, and local governments.

Walking Through the Permanent Exhibition with "AI Suitcase"

This is a field trial of an autonomous navigation robot that assists mobility in visually impaired people. We collect participant feedback and navigation data through tour experiences in the permanent exhibition.

Minna no KANZO Research

We examine participants' liver conditions and collect information such as their physical characteristics and lifestyle habits. We aim to clarify the causes of fatty liver disease using data from various participants.

Exploring the Mysterious World from Children's Perspective

This participatory experiment explores children's perceptual world. Through experiments investigating the unconscious mind, we explore children's unique perspectives that differ from that of adults.
