“Let the stars shine”

This work features the problem of light pollution by reminding us about the disappearing beauty of the night sky.

Zoe Yang

We are accustomed to living a bright life even at night thanks to an abundance of lightning. However, excessive and/or inappropriate lightning could disturb the activities of animals, plants, and even humans, and affect our health as well. The adverse effect caused by such lightning is called “light pollution”. The author suggests turning off unnecessary lightning to regain the starry sky for the world, based on her own experience in her hometown, as the Taiwan starry sky became invisible due to light pollution.

Excessive lighting that shines quite a distance and unnecessary lighting that lights in places without people will not only make the stars in the night sky less visible but also have adverse effects on living creatures and surrounding environments. The main message of this work is “Together let's help the stars shine again!”. This work is addressed to the many young generations who will be the future society. The content of the e-mail arriving from Taiwan at the beginning is based on actual experiences of the scenario producer. The highlight of this work is the finale of a beautiful starry sky.
