The video addresses the importance of the role of a country, and individuals in dealing with the spread of the ozone hole and its effect on our lives. For humans, the atmosphere is essential. However, many human activities have negative effects on its composition. The formation and spread of the ozone hole may serve as an example. The author calls for cooperation among the Chinese government, individuals, and people from all over world in controlling the emission of greenhouse gases responsible for the ozone hole.
Motivation behind this scenario
Although economic growth leads to a richer life for many people, in China, the problems with environment pollution escalate. With the growing use of various electric home appliances, the amount of greenhouse gases released into the atmosphere has been increasing, with the portion contributed by developing countries exceeding 50 percent.(1) The greenhouse gases are responsible for the spread of the ozone hole leading to the increase of skin cancer, a decrease in crop production, fish extinction and other problems that affects not only China, but the whole world as well.(2) For that reason, and since it has joined the Montreal international treaty in 1991, China is working hard on decreasing the amount of greenhouse gases released into the atmosphere, and raising awareness among their citizens of the issues related to the misuse of these substances.(3)

Movie | JAPAN
After the ozone hole was discovered, the Freon gas that some home appliances emit has been considered as its cause and people started paying attention to this significant problem. China was one of the main contributors to this problem, but after the establishment of international treaties, China has been trying to reduce the Freon emission rates. If people set their minds to it, they can solve several environmental problems for sure! In this work environmental problems are being presented through attractive, colorful illustrations.
