"Night Museum for Adults" opens on March 30 (Sat.)!
Geo-Cosmos at Night
"Night Museum for Adults" will be held on March 30 (Sat.) under the special night opening hours on the last Saturday of every month. This "Night Museum of Adults" will be held as a part of the special week-long event "Tsunagari Project 2013 - 10 days in an Earth Camp" (Exhibition period: March 22 (Fri.) - March 31 (Sun.)). During the event, visitors will be able to enjoy various contents that will allow them to experience diverse aspects of the Earth.
"Night Museum of Adults" will feature a special screening of the new Geo-Cosmos program, "Trajectory - The Movements." This symbol exhibition traces human movement from ancient times to the present day and follows the trajectory of our ceaseless, restless paths that continue even today, giving visitors a realistic sense of the human journey through the beautiful sketches marked out on the surface of the Earth. A yoga workshop entitled "Tsunagaru Yoga - Me, Us, and the World" provides a holistic experience by encouraging participants to experience various "connections" through their minds and bodies. A special version of the Geo-Cosmos interactive demonstration, "Money Planet," designed for adults, features global money-related problems.
The Dome Theatre will feature a special screening of the panoramic film, "Earth Story - The Evolution of Dinosaurs and the Future of Humans," with narration and an ending theme performed by the late Kiyoshiro Imawano. This 3D film reveals the secrets to the genesis of life on Earth through the voice of the musician.
Also showing will be the glow-in-the-dark exhibit "Geo-Cosmos," a sight visitors can only enjoy at night.

"Earth Story - The evolution of dinosaurs and the future of humans -"
Why were dinosaurs able to grow so big? When we face the secret of the prosperity of dinosaurs, which grew to be extremely large in size, we will learn that the dinosaurs, which were thought to have become extinct 6.5 million years ago, have actually managed to survive in a different environment through adaptation.
On the other hand, why were humans able to prosper this much? Humans have acquired a totally unique power, to store and present the function of the brain through words and in the shape of letters, which has never been seen in other organisms throughout the history of life.
"BIRTHDAY - What Links the Universe and Me"
A program presented using the first full-dome, ultra high-resolution 3D imaging system in Japan, Atmos and MEGASTAR-II cosmos. Enjoy a visually stunning and impactful 3D image presentation.
"Colors of the Dark"
The theme of this presentation is "the invisible." After "seeing" the universe through an astronomical perspective, you would see that the darkness is filled with a whole host of things that include infrared rays and electromagnetic waves. Even if we could see all of this, what we would be looking at would be no more than a mere fraction of the universe in its entirety. It is a presentation that expands our imagination about the darkness and light of space.
Time: "Earth Story" 17:00 , "BIRTHDAY" 18:00 and 20:00 , "Colors of the Dark" 19:00
Venue: Dome Theater GAIA, 6th floor of Miraikan
