Exhibit related to Dr. Yoichiro Nambu, Dr. Makoto Kobayashi and Dr. Toshihide Maskawa, Winners of the Nobel Prize in Physics
The outline of the Kobayashi-Maskawa Theory on the research of Particle Physics conducted by Dr. Nambu, Dr. Kobayashi and Dr. Maskawa, who shared the Nobel Prize (Physics), is introduced in an understandable way at the "Study of Elementary Particles and the Universe with a Particle Accelerator" at the 5F, The Earth Environment and Frontiers.
This exhibit introduces the experimental machine "KEKB" at Tsukuba city, which proved the Kobayashi-Maskawa Theory. In addition to this, visitors can hear stories on the "mystery of the extreme structure of antimatter and matter" through the monitor screen and presented by Dr. Kobayashi himself.
* A "Science Mini Talk" related to the most recent Nobel Prize will be held within the exhibition floor until October 31 (Fri). (Starting at 13:30 and lasting approximately 15 min.)
