"Picture Happiness on Earth" is a program where junior-high and
high-school students from the Asia-Pacific region and Japanese female
junior-high and high-school students will collaborate in order to
create visual contents for the Globe-like display, Geo-Cosmos about
Workshops were held in 6 countries in the Asia and the Pacific region in order to find out what happiness is. Each participant expressed the "happiness" that he/she chose through a scenario that will be visualized for the Geo-Cosmos.
The results will be presented this time. The 6 visual contents will be presented on the Geo-Cosmos along with the introductions in English and Japanese by the participants from the 6 countries who made the scenario and by the Japanese participants who created the visual contents. The topic vary from: clean water in Singapore, the indigenous people of the Philippines, the economic development in China and the ozone hole, and the bees and everyday lives in Japan. Please come and find out what happiness is for the teenagers around the world.
These 6 contents will be displayed on the Geo-Cosmos from November 21 (Mon), 2016 to the end of March, 2016.
This project, through Bloomberg L.P.'s sponsorship, aims to provide a place where young girls from Japan and the Asia Pacific region can cultivate their scientific thinking through STEM education.
Please be noted that the programs at Miraikan on November 20 (Sun),
2016 will be changed as below.
-ASIMO: Demonstration at 16:00 will be changed to 16:30.
-Geo-Cosmos Screening after 14:00 will be cancelled.
