Let's Meet a Scientist! Permanent Exhibition "Earth Environment and Me" Opening Memorial Series Vol. 4: Designing Year 2050

Mr. Junichi Fujino (Global Warming Evaluation Laboratory of National Institute for Environmental Studies)

Commemorating the opening of the new permanent exhibition "Earth Environment and Me" in October 2008, we have held "Let's Meet a Scientist" conducted by researchers in charge of the editing of our exhibits and presented in a series of 4 events. We would like to welcome Mr. Junichi Fujino, preceded by his highly acclaimed research results concerning "Japan and the ability to cut 70% of CO2 emission by 2050 (compared to 1990)" for the final fourth event.
What does it mean to cut back 70% of emissions? How will society be affected? Also what will become necessary? Together, let's think and discuss with the researcher who has promoted "Japan Low Carbon Society 2050" project.
