"A Planet by Chance" (2007 - 2008) |
 |
In the summer of 2006, the elimination of Pluto from the widely accepted list of planets actually became a controversial social "issue." In this program, we examine the latest scientific knowledge, and contemplate exactly what constitutes the definition of the celestial body known as a "planet." Furthermore, we will introduce a new viewpoint in order to understand "life" as we know it here on earth, while we consider the existence of our "Earth" itself.

- Wanting to see the invisible.
After seeing the MEGASTAR-II that offers an unrivalled view of the universe by expressing stars up to the 12.5th magnitude of their brilliance, we will invite you to the world of "darkness" where "nothing" predominates. Yet you will realize how this seemingly empty void is actually filled as you view the night sky with the perspective of cutting-edge technology such as infrared rays, electrowaves and x-rays.

"A New View" (2004 - 2005) |
 |
- Why do people look up at the night sky?
The film "A New View" starts from this simple question. Maybe the mysteries and wonders felt by people in ancient times as they looked up at the night sky led to today's advances in astronomy and space science. From those kinds of thoughts and ideas, the MEGASTAR-II cosmos aims at becoming a planetarium and an interactive device which links people and space as it stimulates the intellectual curiosity of its visitors. It appeals to a primal sense of humankind, like looking up at the night sky and thinking about the stars up in the sky, as a starting point.
