Tadao Umesao was an "intellectual giant" who perceived the world through his own innovative approaches, aided by tireless fieldwork and the exchange he had with intellects in various fields. This exhibition focuses on the tools and methods he used to observe the world and strives to consider our future.

Everything comes to an end. Human lives, nature, civilization-even our universe. Held one year after the Great East Japan Earthquake, this Special Exhibition aims to reanalyze the role of science and technology and discover a new story of hope?one that begins with an "ending."
