Watching the Present Earth
In looking back at the history of the Earth, the last ten thousand years up to today after the last Ice Age was a time when the climate was miraculously stable. This zone introduces the remarkable degree of change impacting our global environment while recognizing the environmental conditions of today's Earth where we humans live.
Finding the Origin
The mechanism of the Earth's "circulation" supports the activities of all species on Earth. However, today, the Earth is loosing its delicate balance due to damage caused by various human activities. We will grasp the true nature of this situation from the perspective of Earth's circulation system.
Designing Future
Various technologies have been developed to recover the balance of the material cycle and to build a sustainable society. This zone introduces what science and technology can do to solve environmental issues. For example, an energy production method which emits no carbon dioxide and recycling industrial technologies are presented.
Talking among Community
Environmental problems cannot be solved only through the pursuit of the true state of nature and the progress of science and technology. We will promote debate and communication based on various ideas and perspectives as we apply our view to economic and international problems.
