<The Purpose of this Special Exhibition>
In the year 2006, when this exhibition was held at the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation, the population of the world was 6.5 billion people. After finishing the traveling exhibition in China and coming back to Japan in Kitakyushu, the current population has reached 6.8 billion people. In this kind of rapid environmental change, through the 4 categories of "food, tools, living environment, and energy," the exhibition will pursue the science and technology necessary in order for future generations of humans to survive. The exhibit was designed as a "survival kit" and exhibits that come out of the container will spread out at the event site and be stored for additional travel to different venues.
By introducing science and technology that tackles the problems of humans based on the theme of the "survival of today's generation," we will think of ways to deal with new changes that will come with a greater use of new, innovative technologies.
