UNI-CUB

Here, you can ride on a personal mobility device, the UNI-CUB, which is also displayed on the permanent exhibition floor. UNI-CUB is a new device—both a vehicle and a robot— and we hope that you will enjoy your experience.

UNI-CUB is a personal mobility device that was developed based on the balance-control technology used for ASIMO. It is a new device—both a vehicle and a robot— and we hope that you will enjoy your experience.
UNI-CUB embodies the concept of harmony between the people riding it and the people walking by in an indoor space.

In 2012 Miraikan conducted a 2-year demonstration experiment with science communicators and visitors and the results helped in the development of UNI-CUB. UNI-CUB is still displayed at the permanent exhibition and is also used by science communicators in their day-to-day work.
