Happy New Year! Miraikan KARUTA Game Contest! - How much do you know!? -

The KARUTA game, based on Miraikan's exhibits and topics related to science, were very popular in 2008. Any elementary school age child or younger can participate. Who can gather the most KARUTA cards?

Is It CO2 that will Warm the Earth? Or...

We invite you to a special demonstration where you will see greenhouse gas using the permanent exhibit "Thermal Video System (Thermograph)" on the 5F. With your own eyes, you will get an actual sense of the greenhouse effect.

Illumination Created by Organisms!? - The World Seen with the Results of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry -

Doesn't its glittering appearance appear like an illumination!? Using photographs and images, we will introduce glowing organisms with florescent proteins that became popularized with the award of the Nobel Prize given to research on its behalf.

Swirling Street Performance: The Mystery of the Formation and Evolution of Volvox

Explore the mechanism behind the formation of green alga family members such as volvox and chlamydomonas. Through this performance, we will better understand the mystery of the evolution of all organisms as we make observations with the microscope.
