FURUSATO - World Heritage Sites Viewed From Space -

The natural asset of New Zealand shows us the signature of the Earth's long history. Approximately 5,000 years ago, the cultural asset of Egypt was created by the civilization that flourished along the Nile River. The Itsukushima Shrine is one of Japan's three great views and one more world heritage in Hiroshima is the "Hiroshima Peace Memorial" which is a reminder of sorrow in the human race. We will present world heritage sites in 3 different places along with an accompanying story through the eyes of children that live in those places. At the same time, we will also introduce cultural assets and natural assets on Earth as seen from space with "DAICHI" using high precision images.

This program was created originally by Mr. Kundo Koyama who won an Academy Award for the screenplay for the film "Departures."
